James is a qualified mountain bike guide and bike mecanic, with a love of navigating rugged trails and breathtaking landscapes. However, his heart truly belongs to the winter season and skiing. When the first snowfall arrives, James eagerly trades in his bike for a pair of skis, ready to conquer the slopes.
James, brings a wealth of experience, including 6 years running and developing a ski tour business in Japan and brings a meticulous attention to detail to the table. His innate ability to focus on the finer points and think several steps ahead enables him to craft unforgettable adventures for our clients. Vaun McAleer is a co-founder of Soulscape Adventure, bringing a wealth of experience and passion for the outdoors to curate unforgettable ski and wine tours. With over a decade of experience in the hospitality and action sports industry, Vaun has honed his expertise through internationally traveled adventures and hands-on roles in ski tour operations and outdoor education. His background includes living and working in renowned ski destinations such as New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Vail, and Jackson Hole, providing him with a deep understanding of diverse cultures and ski terrains.
Vaun's commitment to excellence is evident in his multifaceted skill set, encompassing skiing, skateboarding, surfing, fly fishing, rock climbing, and guitar playing. His dedication to providing exceptional experiences is further underscored by his academic pursuits, having completed a degree in Business and Marketing and is currently pursuing a Master's program in Business Analytics at the University of Washington. With his passion for crafting adventures that create wonderful memories. He also brings wild ideation and attention to safety.
As a certified Wilderness First Responder with a background in outdoor education, Vaun has played integral roles in crafting and leading domestic programs, curating immersive outdoor experiences, and guiding experiential learning trips for youth. His dedication to safety and expertise in outdoor education adds a layer of assurance and professionalism to Soulscape Adventure's tours, ensuring that guests are in capable hands as they embark on their ski and wine adventures.
